Friday, April 22nd at 7 p.m. is the Good Friday Service. As you may know, it is a service that begins in light and moves progressively to darkness. The story of the arrest, trial and crucifixion of our Lord is told through the Scripture. There is special music, choir anthems, hymns and solos throughout the service. The service ends in darkness and the church will remain in darkness until Easter morning.
It is a beautiful and powerful service reminding us of Jesus’ sacrifice for us that we may have abundant life and it truly helps us to prepare ourselves for the glorious celebration of Easter. (Children are welcome and if you need child care for the little ones let us know and we will arrange that.)
Pastor Jean is looking for seven adults and/or children who would like to read scripture. Let Dan Gennant know if you’d like to participate.
