Wesley Church member & Eagle Scout Featured in Local Paper

The Valley Breeze recently featured news of Wesley member & Eagle Scout Austin Genannt.

On March 3, 2013, Wesley Church celebrated the installation of a new sound system in its facilities.  This was the culmination of an Eagle Scout Project by Austin Genannt, of Boy Scout Troop 24, Attleboro, a member of the congregation.  The new system includes a new remote listening system for the hearing impaired as well as a secure, custom built cabinet for the new equipment.  Twelve scouts participated in the building of the cabinet and installation of the new equipment, giving Wesley Church the ability to extend its capabilities for voice and music and provide room for growth.  Donations from the greater community exceeded the expenses.  The Eagle Scout is the pinnacle of a Scout’s journey, achieved by only 4% of Scouts nationwide. A Scout must complete a Service project in order to qualify for the award, as well as successfully complete a rigorous Board of Review.
