The Risen Lord Calls Us: Sacrament, Security, Sacrifice and Spirit

Easter doesn’t just happen to Jesus. It happens to us. The first disciples weren’t the only ones changed by Jesus’ resurrection. We are too. The Risen Lord calls us to follow him and gives us gifts that equip us for witness and service all through our lives: The Sacrament of the Lord’s Table to feed us, Security to assure us, the power of Sacrifice and the presence of the Spirit.  In the Easter season that runs through early May and leads to Pentecost on May 24, we’ll take time to explore each of these gifts.

I hope you’ll take time to be there!

May 3 – Taken, Blessed, Broken, Given (Sacrament)
Luke 24: 13-35

May 10 – Under the Fig Tree (Security)
John 1: 43-51

May 17 – The Good Shepherd (Sacrifice)
John 10: 1-18

May 24 – Pentecost – Receiving Jesus’ Spirit (Spirit)
John 20: 19-23
