Youth Group participates in CityReach

static1.squarespace.comThe Wesley UMC Youth Group will participate in Common Cathedral’s CityReach program in April. CityReach is an overnight urban outreach program that began in March 1996 for youth (with accompanying adults), young adults, and college students from churches of any denomination. The program gives these young people the opportunity to learn first-hand about homelessness from people who have experienced it. During the 20 hour session, participants join CityReach staff in street ministry and offer hospitality, food and clothing. This is followed by times of sharing and reflection.

In preparation for our trip, we are asking for your help. We will be collecting the following items to bring with us to be distributed to those in need:

1. Quilts, blankets or sleeping bags (new or gently used & clean) Twin, Full or Queen size. 2. New packages of underwear. (Male & Adult sizes up to XXXL requested)
3. New white socks (Adult sizes)
4. New or used adult sized belts
5. Travel size toiletries

There will be a collection area in the Narthex.
We will be collecting these items until Sunday, April 3. Thanks again for all of your support.
