Season of Advent – Celebration of Christmas – Calm and Bright
Are you looking for some hope, peace, love and light in this Holiday season? Sometimes we feel as if they are missing from our lives. Our communities, our churches, and our world are torn and divided about many issues of cultural contention. Families fight, politicians argue, posts spread ignorance and hate on the Internet and it is easy to feel that hope, peace, love and light are missing.
This year is the 200th anniversary of the debut of “Silent Night, Holy Night”. In a world where there often seems to be very little calm, and darkness so often abounds, the message of peace and light of this carol highlights a call that can guide us all year long as we seek to make this world a better place.
