About Wesley United Methodist Church:

Wesley is a caring community

We treasure and celebrate our diversity. We take seriously the core United Methodist tenet that the

love we receive is the love we are called to share with the world.

Wesley is a growing community:

We are growing in our faith, and we welcome everyone who wants to connect with God. We are

growing in our outreach, and we welcome anyone who is looking to make a difference in our world.

We are growing in our care and nurture of ourselves and our church community, so that we can learn

to be faithful followers of Christ. We invite you to come grow with us!

Wesley is an active place:

We work to shine the light of God's grace within our congregation, in our community of Lincoln RI, throughout RI and Southeastern MA, and around the world. We do that through the work of our members in local missions: Clinica Esperanza in Providence which serves the immigrant population; the Northern RI Food Pantry which works to address food insecurity in Northern RI, Habitat for Humanity, and our annual Christmas gift card collection to help folks in need in northern RI.  Our connection to

the greater United Methodist Church extends our reach nationally and globally. And as a church,

Wesley supports Bridge to Liberia, a project to provide school supplies for the children of Liberia.

See our Outreach page for all the details!

Wesley is a United Methodist congregation:

We believe in a gracious and loving God, Jesus as our Savior and Example, and the Holy Spirit to guide and strengthen us. We believe in “Grace in Action” and in personal experiences of God’s love that translate into service in God’s world.  To learn more more about the greater United Methodist church, check out the United Methodist Church website.

Wesley's History in Lincoln RI:

Wesley United Methodist Church began its ministry in Lincoln in the 1960’s. Three churches (First Methodist, Thomson Methodist, and St. John’s E.U.B. from Pawtucket) discerned God’s guidance as they joined together and moved to our present location. In the 1970’s, Berkley Methodist Church also joined us.  Wesley United Methodist Church serves persons living in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
