Beginning in 2014, Wesley UMC identified six community-based organizations throughout Rhode Island with which to partner as a means of living God’s word through the sharing of our time, talents and treasure well beyond the church’s four walls. We invited leaders of each of these organizations to visit us during worship and share their message of service, each on a different Sunday through early 2014. Then, in the spring of 2014, members of the Wesley Church family committed to volunteer in a variety of ways for whichever organization(s) spoke most to them.
Below is a brief description of each organization and a link to their web site. For information on other mission projects at Wesley UMC, please go to our Mission & Fellowship page.

Bridge Liberia
Bridge Liberia is an effort founded by Wesley member Donowea Seidi to provide much needed school supplies to children in her home country of Liberia. Many children do not even have the basics of pencil and paper, making learning even more challenging. Wesley has been a central provider of supplies and packing location since 2015. Photos of the children receiving their supplies can be viewed here.
